This is a box I placed last month- sorry for the lag. I call it the
"Virginia Rail Box."
BTW, G-Man, your hitchiker is safe and sound, just kicking up its
heels. Will travel soon.

To enter the refuge, take Fort Belvoir's Tully Gate (open to
civilians) from Route 1. The trailhead is located at the second
parking lot on the right, the one with bathrooms.

This box is named after one of my favorite birds, a reclusive bird
that I actually have never spotted in Accotink. Perhaps some day.

back
to the stone bridge / walkway he uses as a landmark.
